Led by Brother Kofi, Freedom and Alignment Coach & Reiki Energy Healer, this meditation utilizes the backdrop of low West African drum sounds as it guides listeners through an inner-strength meditation and breathing exercises. This meditation is infused with resiliency affirmations to support personal strength and self-determination. 

People of African descent regularly manage high-stress experiences which stretch their personal capacity and well being. Meditation can help manage  such realities.

Brother Kofi is a Freedom & Alignment Coach, focused in the areas of Holistic Health & Wellness, and serves as a Reiki Energy Healer and the founder of Cosmic Wellness Holistic Health.   

Brother Kofi offers workshops in Qi Qong (‘Chee Kung’), Meditation, Self-Care, Nutrition Corporate Holistic Health and Wellbeing, Proactive fathering and community development for Non-Profit Organizations across Toronto.   

Brother Kofi is dedicated to not only building his business but in volunteering his time in youth development, sharing his skills and experiences with community youth groups across the GTA.  

Brother Kofi is also the founder of "Lions and Cubs", a small non-profit organization for young men, which focuses on Leadership and Self-Empowerment.  

In addition he is the current Executive Director of "Wisdom Green Earth", a non-profit organization committed to using the arts and nature to positively impact the lives of community.

Remember our power, you remember our strength, we call upon the power of not only our lineage, but also the power of our breath. This meditation is intended to call upon your strength, your inner power, and the resiliency of your ancestors past. Each and every breath, connects us to our heartbeat connects us to the rhythm of the African drum connects us to our true self. As we listen and hear and connect to our true voice. I'll ask you as you're either seated on the ground or seated in the chair to relax into your space. Allow your feet to be firmly planted on the ground if you're seated in the chair. And if you're seated on the floor on a mat just to feel your body relax and ease into the surface of the floor. We're going to begin by grounding ourselves in this moment.

Feeling our connection to our presence, feeling our connection to the surface in which we're seated. Relaxing our body. We will have our eyes closed in a moment when we start relaxing our body from the top of our head all the way down to our feet. Closing our eyes. Though our eyes are closed, relaxing our eyes, relaxing our jaw, relaxing your neck, relaxing your shoulders. Relaxing your back down into your chest down into your stomach. Relaxing your legs down into your knees down into your shins down to your ankles relaxing into this moment.

Going to walk you through the breath as we breathe in through the nose and out through the nose I'm going to count you down.

Setting an intention to be as present and focus in this moment to get the most out of this exercise. As we call upon the strength and are in our power. Taking a deep breath into the nose two, three, out two, three. Breathing in through the nose two, three and out through the nose two, three in deep as you can. Two, three, out two, three in two, three, out two, three, continue. In two, three, out two, three in two, three, out two, three in deep as you can two, three out two, three.

In two, three, out two, three. In taking yourself two, three into a peaceful place out two, three a place that brings you calm in two, three places it brings you peace out two, three. In as deep as you can two, three, out two, three in two, three, out two, three in two, three out something leads you into your peaceful place. Two, three in two, three seeing your feet out walking into your peaceful place two, three finding a place to sit. Just like you're seated now in two, three, out two, three in two, three, out two, three. In knowing that the power is in the breath two, three, out we connect to our source two, three in two, three, out. Letting the thoughts calm and letting them go through being present in the moment in two, three, out two, three in as deep as can, two, three, out two, three. In two, three taking in the energy out two, three, great of peace in this moment in two, three, out two, three. In taking in the temperature two, three out of you in your peaceful place two, three if it's daytime or nighttime in two, three if you feel the sun on your skin outdoor if you feel a breeze. Two, three connecting to that space in two, three, out two, three, in two, three, out two, three filling your feet ease into the floor.

In listening into the body two, three out for any discomfort two, three through any sensitivity in two, three out two, three any tingliness in or any awareness two, three in any part of the body out two, three. In two, three, out two, three, in two, three, out two, three in two, three. Out two, three in two, three if you pick up any discomfort out we're gonna release it to three in releasing acknowledging it's there are two, three and releasing it from the body out two three envisioning it leave the body in two, three. Out any sensitivity or discomfort two, three is leaving the body now in to three out to three in to three, out to three, in two, three, out, two, three, in another, we've released that. Two, three, out to three, in two, three, we're sitting in our power out to three sitting in our strength in two, three, out to three, in two, three, out to three, in, two, three, out, two, three. In, we're gonna start with our affirmations two, three to connect to our source out two, three in two, three, out two, three in two, three out two, three, in. I call upon my power daily three chanting mentally out I call upon my power daily three in two, three out two, three in I can handle any hurdle that life throws at me out to three in I can handle any hurdle that life throws at me out to three in I have all that I need to be successful. Three, out I have all that I need to be successful. Three, in two, three, out to three, in I have my own source of inspiration, three, out I my own source of inspiration. Three in I believe in myself. Three, out two, three, in I believe in myself. Two, three, out two, three. In I achieve anything everything I put my mind to three out he if anything and everything I put my mind.

In I have unlimited inner strength two, three out I have unlimited inner strength. Three, in two, three, out two, three. In I choose to release what doesn't serve me. Three, out two, three. Three, in I'm in complete control of my destiny three, out two, three in I choose to protect my energy, Three, out two, three in I choose to protect my energy. Three, out two, three in two, three out it's this is my time two, three in two, three I embrace my power out two, three. I embrace my inner strength in two, three, out two, three, in two, three, out two, three. In we remember our power two, three we remember our strength out two, three we call upon the power of not only our lineage, three, but the power of our breath out. Two, three, going back to a regular form of breathing, feeling yourself connected in your peaceful place, feeling your feet easing into the floor.

Feeling that connection, feeling the temperature once again in your peaceful place, acknowledging your connection to your inner strength, connecting you to your inner wisdom. Knowing that all is possible, all that's available to you, is available to you to tap into your inner source and strength. Seeing yourself slowly standing up in your peaceful place. Walking out of your peaceful place the same way that you came inslowly returning wiggling your fingers, wiggling your toes, connecting back to your space.
